At Abberfield, we’re committed to delivering safe, compliant, and reliable water dispensing solutions. That’s why our Water Filling Stations — models WD2000, WD2500 and WD3000N — are designed to operate with backflow prevention systems.
What is backflow protection?
Backflow protection stops contaminated water from reversing into the clean water supply when pressure fluctuations or cross-connections could compromise water quality. Customers often have existing backflow protection and Abberfield staff are available for site specific customisation advice.
Abberfield Water Filling Stations
WD2000 and WD2500 Models: Have as standard testable double check valves, concealed within the cabinet
WD3000N Models: Typically operate with a self-flushing backflow device (Residual Pressure Zone device known as an RPZ)
- RPZ device is mounted externally and can be positioned to the left, right, or rear of the Filling Station
- Typically, RPZ's are enclosed within a lockable cage
- RPZ's are often customer supplied, but also available from Abberfield with particular features being preassembled, including attachment flanges, mounted together on adjustable solid stainless steel stands (allowing precise alignment).

Mounting for Water Filling Stations
The plumbing, flow meter and water valve preassembled and pressure tested, is attached to a stainless-steel plate, via adjustable stainless-steel stands.
This stainless-steel ground plate is then secured to a concrete base using Abberfield purpose-built stainless-steel fasteners. This attachment is both elegant and allows for easy relocation of Water Filling Stations.
